Life Insurance That Everyone Can Understand

You may be wondering, “what’s the catch?”
Like all life insurance, coverage is subject to some health and lifestyle questions and a pharmaceutical check.

How It Works ↓

Preliminary Questions

First, we’ll need to determine if XL Heritage is a good fit by answering a few questions.

  1. In the past two years, have you been declined for life insurance?
The answer must be “no” to qualify.

  2. In the past three years, have you been convicted of a DUI or reckless driving?
The answer must be “no” to qualify.

  3. Are you currently in a hospital, nursing home, long term care facility, or receiving hospice or home health care?
The answer must be “no” to qualify.

  4. Other than for routine care or tests related to HIV, in the past 12 months have you been advised by a licensed medical professional to see a medical specialist, have an in-patient surgery, biopsy, hospitalization, diagnostic test or procedure, which has not been completed or the results are unknown?
The answer must be “no” to qualify.

  5. In the past five years, have you been convicted of a felony or are you currently on parole or probation?
The answer must be “no” to qualify.

  6. Are you receiving assistance or supervision with eating, bathing, dressing, walking, toileting, or getting up out of a chair?
The answer must be “no” to qualify.

  7. Have you been diagnosed with a terminal illness with a life expectancy of 24 months or less?
Answer must be “no” to qualify.

  8. Have you ever been diagnosed with a serious medical condition?
If the answer is “yes,” you may refer to Appendix A of the Application Process Guide for further qualifications. A “yes” answer to this does not automatically disqualify an applicant.

  9. Do you have either U.S. citizenship or a U.S. permanent resident card (green card)?
The answer must be “yes” to qualify.

  10. Ages 71+ only – have you seen a medical professional in the past 12 months?
The answer must be “yes” to qualify.
